Privacy policy for Vela Insula

Vela Insula collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, and the app needs no internet connection to sail.
What the app stores
On your own device only, purely to remember your game:
- your best times and earned stars per level;
- which levels and chapters you have unlocked;
- your records in free sailing: how many days in a row you sailed the daily course, your best clock race, your furthest distance in the last sea, and which dead calm puzzles you solved;
- your settings, such as relax mode, the language and whether you have seen the tutorials;
- a recording of your fastest run, so you can race your own shadow;
- how many times you supported the maker, so the game can say thank you.
This data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
Supporting the maker
The game has a Support button with three optional amounts behind it. They unlock nothing at all; the game is exactly the same without them.
The payment runs entirely through Google Play. The app never sees your name, your address or your card details, and ElectricCoding receives only a monthly payout from Google — never your payment details. Google's own privacy policy covers that transaction. The shop is the only part of the game that needs an internet connection at all; the sailing itself never does.
All the app itself remembers is a number on your own device: how often you gave. It goes no further than your device.
There is one thing that does leave your device, and it happens whether or not you ever give: to show those three amounts in your own currency, the game asks Google Play what they cost as soon as the world map appears. Google's payment library makes that request, and it carries what such a request needs — an identifier for your device, one for your Play account, the country your connection comes from, and a note when something goes wrong. That all goes to Google over an encrypted connection and stays there; ElectricCoding never sees it, and it is covered by Google's own privacy policy. The country and the account identifier are used for the request and then discarded.
What the app does not do
- no advertising;
- no analytics or trackers of our own: nothing about how you sail, how long you play or how far you get ever leaves your device;
- no access to contacts, camera, microphone or files, and no access to your device's location — the shop only learns which country your connection comes from;
- no sharing or selling of data to third parties;
- no profile of you anywhere, on our side or on yours.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If what the app stores or sends ever changes, this policy will be updated and a new date will appear here.

Vela Insula verzamelt geen persoonsgegevens. Er is geen account, geen registratie, en de app heeft geen internetverbinding nodig om te varen.
Wat de app opslaat
Alleen op je eigen toestel, en alleen om je spel te onthouden:
- je beste tijden en behaalde sterren per level;
- welke levels en hoofdstukken je hebt vrijgespeeld;
- je records in vrije vaart: hoeveel dagen achter elkaar je de dagkoers voer, je beste klokrace, je verste afstand in de laatste zee en welke windstilte-opgaven je hebt opgelost;
- je instellingen, zoals de relax-modus, de taal en of je de uitleg al hebt gezien;
- een opname van je snelste rit, zodat je tegen je eigen schaduw kunt varen;
- hoe vaak je de maker steunde, zodat het spel je kan bedanken.
Deze gegevens blijven op je toestel en worden nergens naartoe gestuurd. Ze verdwijnen wanneer je de app verwijdert.
De maker steunen
In het spel staat een STEUN-knop met daarachter drie bedragen. Ze zijn helemaal vrijblijvend en openen niets; zonder is het spel precies hetzelfde.
De betaling loopt volledig via Google Play. De app ziet je naam, je adres en je kaartgegevens nooit, en ElectricCoding krijgt alleen een maandelijkse uitbetaling van Google — nooit je betaalgegevens. Op die transactie geldt het privacybeleid van Google zelf. De winkel is het enige onderdeel van het spel dat internet nodig heeft; het varen zelf nooit.
Wat de app er zelf van onthoudt is een getal op je eigen toestel: hoe vaak je gaf. Verder dan je toestel komt dat niet.
Eén ding verlaat je toestel wel, en dat gebeurt of je nu geeft of niet: om die drie bedragen in je eigen munt te tonen, vraagt het spel aan Google Play wat ze kosten zodra de overwereld verschijnt. De betaalbibliotheek van Google doet die vraag, en die draagt mee wat zo'n vraag nodig heeft — een kenmerk van je toestel, een van je Play-account, het land waar je verbinding vandaan komt, en een melding als er iets misgaat. Dat gaat versleuteld naar Google en blijft daar; ElectricCoding ziet het nooit, en er geldt het privacybeleid van Google zelf op. Het land en het accountkenmerk worden voor de vraag gebruikt en daarna weggegooid.
Wat de app niet doet
- geen advertenties;
- geen eigen analytics of trackers: hoe je vaart, hoe lang je speelt en hoe ver je komt verlaat je toestel nooit;
- geen toegang tot contacten, camera, microfoon of bestanden, en geen toegang tot de locatie van je toestel — de winkel komt alleen te weten uit welk land je verbinding komt;
- geen delen of verkopen van gegevens aan derden;
- nergens een profiel van jou, niet bij ons en niet bij jou.
Kinderen
De app is voor alle leeftijden geschikt en verzamelt van niemand gegevens, ook niet van kinderen.
Wijzigingen
Verandert er iets aan wat de app opslaat of verstuurt, dan wordt dit beleid bijgewerkt en verschijnt hier een nieuwe datum.
